Who we are

A lifelong avid reader with a BA in English Literature and a Master’s Degree in Library Science, Melissa has always wanted to own a bookstore of her own. As a librarian for almost 20 years, she shared her love of books and helped readers find a book to fill their current reading needs.

Circumstances aligned in early 2024 to allow the earnest pursuit of her dream. With Elephant Ear Books, she hopes to connect with a new community of readers in downtown Plymouth. Melissa loves to chat with customers about their favorite books, and even the ones that were tossed in the DNR pile.
